WHO THE HELM

Chicago-born Brittany Jelinek made her mark in the culinary world as co-founder of Truffleberry Market, a multimillion-dollar luxury catering company, before founding The Helm, where she helps entrepreneurs grow bigger or breathe easier.

Graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Brittany began her career as a young chef breaking into the male-dominated restaurant industry. At just 22 years old, she co-founded Truffleberry Market, growing it over 12 years before successfully selling it in 2020. During her time at Truffleberry Market, Brittany wore every entrepreneurial hat, from creating investment decks and modeling pro formas to executing thousands of high-profile events.

With The Helm, Brittany leverages her diverse experiences to offer directionally productive business consulting. She specializes in offloading executive-level decision-making and strategy, empowering entrepreneurs to focus on their passion while she handles the rest. Whether it’s expanding a business or preparing for an exit, Brittany provides tailored strategies, fostering creativity and ensuring each decision propels her clients toward their goals.

Brittany's approach is proactive, innovative, and deeply collaborative. She believes in making the journey of entrepreneurship less lonely and more fulfilling, helping clients find their road, walk it confidently, and ultimately enjoy the success they've built.

IN HER WORDS

I wish I had a me to work with back when i was running my business and executing what my business did.

Instead of going to business school and running my business from the outside in, I went to culinary school and learned everything about running business from the inside out. The amazing thing is that it was  a catering company but it was also business school.

I love solving problems. I love synthesizing information. I love moving projects forward and I LOVE delivering results!

I get to be that for entrepreneurs and it is the most exciting and fulfilling thing!

Someone once told me I’m a very serious Business Woman who doesn’t take myself too seriously and i’ve never felt more seen. I think showing up as the real human inside of the incredible business IS the dream. To go big AND go home.
